Sizes and distances are to true scale, so most worlds are tiny dots until you get close, and the galaxies and nebulae are thousands to millions of light-years away. Planet positions follow the real date: Earth's day side and the Moon's phase match the sky right now. Cinematic flights compress time, and the ship clock shows how long the trip really takes at the speed you chose.
